I was invited this spring to
judge an A.B.N.A. conformation show, withTony Mancera, in Wuppertal,
Germany by Mike & Marian Silber, and when I got there I stumbled across a little
"project" that Mike has been working on, and fell in love. These little Pocket Bulldogs® are the coolest Small dog I had ever seen. Developed by American Bulldog Breeders, the idea behind the Pocket Bulldogs® is to make a dog with all the advantages of small sporting dog, but with the character, intelligence, friendly behavior and the appearance of the American Bulldog. And one BIG secret that I can let you in on, is that there is NO terrier blood in these dogs, so there is NO hyperactivity that is SO common with all of the bull-terrier crosses. As a husband and father I can tell you that I have had my fair share of difficulty with trying to balance the HARD workability of a large American Bulldog, with my wife's expectations of an acceptable house pet. These new Pocket Bulldogs® are the perfect companion dog for American bulldog enthusiasts, and I didn't leave Germany without making the arraignments with Mike & Marian to have my very own Pocket Bulldogs® sent over as soon as possible.
As fate would have it, Mike
asked me to judge a Fun Class of the seven
Pocket
Bulldogs®
that were at the Bulldog show that day. Though it was a burden, I agreed, and in
doing so became the FIRST official

Bulldogs®
conformation judge EVER ! ! ! ! I am excited to be part of Mikes project and am looking forward to introducing this great new breed to the United States.
