Rock Hound American bulldogs

Rock Hound American Bulldogs
was a small, family run, breeding
program.
We are PROUD of, & can boast for days about the great dogs that we have
produced, but I would just encourage you to visit the new
DOGS PRODUCED page so that you can
see for yourself.

I would like to thank everyone who have been calling me, yelling at me, & asking
me WHY.
In the state of Illinois we have a a governor who isn't qualified to run a hair
dryer, let alone a state government. and as a result the state Prison that
I work for, is nearly 100 staff short. A shortage of over 60 officers
causes at times as much as 40 shifts of overtime every day.
The point is
I have been working anywhere from 60 to 72 hour work weeks for the past 18
months. And as I have found ( the hard way ) I simply don't have time to
pull all of this overtime and give all of the time attention to my dogs that
they deserve.
OH YAH! almost forgot, I have to act like a Husband & father of 4 kids on top of
all that.
It was a hard decision to make, but considering that our ASS of a governor still
has 3 years till the feds throw him in jail like our last governor, I can't see
any end in sight. So something HAD to give.
I will not be breeding any dogs in the immediate future, and may not breed any
for several years. I still love the dogs and will be bringing Nixon to the
shows this year for both shows & working purposes.
I have sent several pups to different people in order to create a Time capsule
of sorts. it will take 2 years for the pups to grow up to be of breeding age and
then they will have a breeding life of up to 5 years past that. This will
give me up to 7 years to get a pup back from these folks that will be 100% my
breeding. So the point is I hope to be back in due time. See you all at
the shows

Champion Smith's
Tricky Dick of
RH
aka
"Nixon" |
|
 |
This is Nixon Originally Owned by Mark Smith of Evansville IN.
Nixon
is a 110 pound Tank X Teva son, Mark was the original owner of Nixon's
father Ch RH's Steel beast.
This pic was taken
after his best male in St. Louis Mo in Oct 2007, Nixon went on to take the
entire show that day then best in show bully on Sun. finishing off his
Championship.
The
Only thing that I can say about Mark is that his loves his dogs TOO much & I
WISH I has his luck in raising bulldogs. Two champ MALES in a row.
Nixon
has come back to live at my home, and I have to say I am thrilled to have
him home. This dog ( Like all of his brothers ) is potent. All
bulldogs are are Big, energetic, enthusiastic, thick headed, and tenacious ;
but this Dick, is concentrated. in the beginning I was concerned that
he would be able to be a house dog considering my kids. But he is also
brilliant, learns very fast, and very interested to please his master.
convincing him that I was the master was the only
trick.
Nixon and I will be trying to give his brother a run for his money this
summer on the Iron Dog. Then on to bigger & better things. |

Princess Teva is my Little Baby. We have Big hopes on this little girl, and
you only have to take one look at her Ped to figure out why.
It turns out that the Magic
ingredient for a nice big thick Bull Dog is Kids left overs & pizza crust, who
knew!
Teva will be one year old in
Feb 04, and is going into the 04 show season with almost 60 points.
The pic to the left shows Teva in the ring the day she took
Best Pup in Breed
at the ABNA 2003 Nationals,
there she won over 56 other dogs.
We hope to Champion her before she has her first litter of pups sometime next
fall.
This little beauty is the
equivalent to having my cake and eating it to. Conformation, workability, solid
temperament, super prey drive with a nicely balanced defense drive. If I
could just get her to stop eating the kids socks this would be
THE PERFECT DOG.

Champion
RH's Princess
Ivy
Ivy is
for sale |
|
 |
Princess Ivy is one great muscled up young female.
A real chip off the old BITCH.
I just took this Princess to the 3rd annual Gateway
Invitational and she did better than I had hoped,
Princess Ivy won BEST IN SHOW over 24 dogs, under Jerry
Leist. Giving her her MAJOR WIN with 45 Points. This secured her
CHAMPIONSHIP, Which she finished by the end of the 2006 show season.
This makes her the 5th generation of UNINTERRUPTED Champion American
Bulldogs in her pedigree.
I am looking forward to seeing what Miss Ivy will
produce for us in 2007. I have a breeding in mind that is going to
blow EVERYONE away, lets just hope that it takes. |

RH's Chuckhole Gangster of
Leist
AKA
"Thug" |
|
The Gangster will be known as "Thug" to his close friends. Even as a
pup he has a real "don't mess with me" attitude.
Thug is about a year and a half old and over 100 pounds, with nice
conformation & a great head. He will most likely Champion, Thug is now
living with Josh Miller who will be working & showing the boy from now on.
look forward to seeing him at a show neer you soon.

Rock Hound's
Justin
Case |
|
Introducing
Justin Case
If he looks like the spitting image of of Paul greens Mace
in your face, & Mark greens Buck eyed Cherry, there is a good reason
All those Tank x Teva boys have that look.
Justin has some bugs that I have to work out but I am
planning to be running him up against his brother Mace next year in the Iron
Dog.
Not that I think he can beat the 2 time national champion.
But I don't think the judges will be able to tell the difference between the
two brothers. So my plan is to shave my head and talk with a thick
southern draw and maybe I can just walk off with Paul's big trophy. |
